The March 2025 issue of The Viewpoint, Curtis Park’s neighborhood newspaper, is packed with updates, events, and community stories. This month’s highlights include the return of the Mad Hatter Tea Party on March 16, a whimsical event filled with crafts, games, and tea-time fun for families. The Spring Egg Hunt is also back on April 19 with a pajama parade, age-grouped egg hunts, and Bunny photos. SCNA’s signature fundraiser—the Curtis Park Home & Garden Tour—returns April 26, showcasing historic homes and classic cars. Readers will also find updates on SCNA’s Zero Carbon Project to modernize Sierra 2 Center with clean energy upgrades, as well as a look into the Eighth Avenue History Project, Curtis Park housing trends, and the addition of Transitional Kindergarten at Bret Harte Elementary. Plus, local voices share reflections on social change, and there’s a call for volunteer gardeners to help maintain the 26th Street flower beds. As always, Sierra 2 Center continues to host a vibrant calendar of classes, performances, and arts programs for all ages.
