Safeway Inc. has requested a “21 off-sale general” liquor license for the grocery store under construction in Crocker Village.
The public notice of the application, affixed to a piece of plywood leaning against the west side of the building, was posted Oct. 12. It said any “verified protest” against the application must be received by the state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control “within 30 days of date posted.”
The notice was reposted Nov. 12, meaning the time for opposing comments had been extended to Dec. 12.
The license would be a transfer from another Safeway location.
