About the instructor:
Maris Kaplan is a multi-disciplinary artist and maker currently based out of Sacramento, CA. She loves playing with color, creative reuse, and collaborating with others. With a focus on sustainability, all works incorporate secondhand materials such as thrifted fabric, upcycled clothing, and found objects. Her art is influenced by her global travels while teaching ESL, the colors and culture of her Californian upbringing, and her continued passion for lifelong learning. Click here to visit her website.
