The Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association brings back the summer Music in the Park concert series on Sunday, June 24 with the premiere of the Unsupervised, featuring local County Supervisor Phil Serna and what he touts as the most politically correct band in Sacramento. Their R&B, soul and funk will start off the summer with a fantastic groove for all ages.
Neighbors and friends of all ages are encouraged to grab a picnic and a blanket to enjoy the summer breeze of Curtis Park from 6 to 8 p.m.
Councilmember Jay Schenirer will serve free Gunther’s ice cream, The event is sponsored by SMUD and Towerpoint Wealth.
The concert series will continue July 29 with Curtis Park favorites the Jahari Sai Band, and the brassy horns of On Air on Aug. 26 following Curtis Fest.
The traditional tunes of Mr. Cooper will delight all at each event and keep the little feet dancing.
