Our Mission
Sierra 2 Center fosters arts, education, and community activities, while SCNA preserves Curtis Park’s heritage and quality of life. Together, they support Sacramento through programs like the Senior Activity Center.
Sierra 2 Center
In the late 1970s, Curtis Park residents saved Sierra School from demolition, leading to SCNA’s founding in 1981. Today, SCNA manages the Sierra 2 Center as a hub for arts, culture, and education.
Advocacy & Stewardship
The Neighborhood Concerns Committee advocates for Curtis Park on land use, transportation, and development issues. NCC collaborates with local groups to revitalize Broadway and Franklin corridors, protect trees, enhance parks, and preserve Sacramento’s quality of life.
