Dori Nicole, the owner & creator of TSK SoapHouse, says you can call her shop “Tee Ess Kay” or “TISK”, as you like. Although herbalism was passed down to Dori from her grandmother, soap-making is a craft she discovered on her own at a pivotal period in her life. Unexpectedly it to grew into a business, a passion, and a therapy.
TSK SoapHouse started accidentally with one product: Kokum Meringue Body Butter. Dori found that it completely healed her eczema and psoriasis, brightened her skin and faded dark spots and hyperpigmentation. So she shared her product with others…
Customers raved about how much it helped them with the same conditions and also how it livened up their tattoos and imparted moisture to their hair. So Dori made more, sold more, and branched out into soap making from scratch and LOVED it! TSK was born.
TSK SoapHouse formulates their recipes specifically for dry, sensitive, eczema riddled skin. Their soaps are unique – focusing on a creamy, buttery lather that gives you the feeling of washing your skin with a lotion.
The 13th Annual Curtis Fest will feature over 75 local artisans under the beautiful canopy of trees at Curtis Park. Artists and makers include painters, sculptors, textile artists, and wood workers. Live music, food trucks, a kids Zone and a pet refreshment station makes this a great way to finish out the summer.
This free event is open to the public and followed by Music in the Park. Come to our free event to support local artists, bring a picnic blanket and chairs to sit on while you watch the musicians or eat your food truck tasties from Kados Asian Grill, Masa Giuseria, or Cowtown Creamery.
