Curtis Fest Artisan Spotlight: River City Sass

In late 2018, the Meguiver blog (a most-cherished nickname, earned by pulling solutions together with bubblegum, a piece of string, and some rocket fuel) was started as a way to connect creatively with other women trudging through the struggles of marriage, motherhood, and the daily grind.

Encouraging other creative women to speak more loudly about their victories, fears, and ambitions, Meg, head maker at River City Sass, didn’t just want to sell things, she wanted to share her experiences and grow a community.

River City Sass is a blend of the two things Meg loves most – living in the Northern California Delta and the sassy attitude that gets her through tough days, tough people, and tough situations.

The 13th Annual Curtis Fest will feature over 75 local artisans under the beautiful canopy of trees at Curtis Park.  Artists and makers include painters, sculptors, textile artists, and wood workers.  Live music, food trucks, a kids Zone and a pet refreshment station makes this a great way to finish out the summer.

This free event is open to the public and followed by Music in the Park. Come to our free event to support local artists, bring a picnic blanket and chairs to sit on while you watch the musicians or eat your food truck tasties from Kados Asian GrillMasa Giuseria, or Cowtown Creamery.
