Sierra 2 Center for the Arts & Community is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic team member for the position of Facility Services Attendant. We have both Part Time (about 20 hours per week, flexible schedule) and Full Time opportunities in a dynamic, vibrant and growing nonprofit organization.
As a Facility Services Attendant, you will provide exceptional service to our guests and visitors. This includes opening and closing facility for daytime, evening and weekend rentals, set-up of rooms and equipment, offering assistance with check-in/check-out, monitoring facility use, clean-up of facilities and grounds, stocking supplies, and providing information to customers regarding facility use. You will perform janitorial services, periodically participate in repairs, maintenance most importantly, serve as a great ambassador for our work as a cultural hub in the community.

Established in 1981, Sierra 2 Center for the Arts & Community facilitates and develops artistic, cultural, social, recreational and educational opportunities for Sacramento and the broader Sacramento region. Our designated historic venue contains a performing arts theater, three dance studios, and a myriad of spaces used for classes, meetings, life celebrations, receptions and more.
We also provide advocacy, a community voice, and a gathering place for 5000+ neighborhood residents focusing on enriching quality of life in the neighborhood through such areas as protection of trees and natural habitat, park care and usability, traffic, crime, and City bike/pedestrian planning.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Experience:
One year of experience performing routine building custodial and maintenance work or conference/event venue set-up services preferred; at least one year of working in hospitality and/or customer service position. One year of combined hospitality and custodial/maintenance work is acceptable.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Other requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, kneel, bend and carry frequently.
