Fine letterpress goods lovingly designed and printed with great force on antique presses.
Cristine, the hands and mind behind Space Pig Press, moved cross-country from Brooklyn to Sacramento, in the hopes of having a space for a studio.
She had printed as a hobby for many years and leapt on a chance to buy a broken down wreck of a 10×15 C&P letterpress. The press was dirty and dusty, full of debris and some busted parts. After several months of cleaning, oiling, tinkering, more oiling, frantic searching for parts, teamwork, and a little brute force the now functional press took her place the studio.
Despite being personally terrible about sending cards, she drew on a background in branding and design to craft a line of simple, beautiful (and perhaps overly-honest) greeting cards and stationery.
Spacepig Press also provides custom letterpress printing for social stationery, notecards, invitations, business cards, or tastefully printed passive aggressive notes. Drop her a line or visit her booth and say hello.
The 13th Annual Curtis Fest will feature over 75 local artisans under the beautiful canopy of trees at Curtis Park. Artists and makers include painters, sculptors, textile artists, and wood workers. Live music, food trucks, a kids Zone and a pet refreshment station makes this a great way to finish out the summer.
This free event is open to the public and followed by Music in the Park. Come to our free event to support local artists, bring a picnic blanket and chairs to sit on while you watch the musicians or eat your food truck tasties from Kados Asian Grill, Masa Giuseria, or Cowtown Creamery.
Thank our sponsors for their support!
