New Home Tour activity: Local plein air artists to paint and exhibit their work

On home tour day, guests will want to watch for artists from Northern California Arts, Inc. as they create plein air paintings throughout Curtis Park. Their work will be offered for sale and for silent auction at the NorCal Arts booth in the park. Lucky auction winners will be announced at the end of the day.

Northern California Arts Inc. (NCA) is a dynamic nonprofit arts organization founded in 1939 by a group of fine artists who want to promote appreciation and participation in the visual arts and to spearhead art education in the community.

Using all visual forms of drawing, painting, sculpturing and mixed media, artists meet at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center (SFAC), 5330-B Gibbons Drive in Carmichael. They also host art exhibits and classes throughout the year.

NCA’s exhibitions have given many artists their start. The NCA annual membership show, Artistic Journey, will be held April 25 – May 13 at the group’s center. Admission is free.
