July Music in the Park cancelled due to extreme temperatures

A Message from SCNA Board President, Andi Liebenbaum

Hello, neighbors, friends and family…

The Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association (SCNA) is cancelling Sunday’s (July 28) Music in the Park due to the forecast of extreme temperatures. (As of right now, Saturday and Sunday are both expected to reach 104 F.) For everyone’s safety and health, SCNA believes a later date, when we can enjoy a final summer picnic and dance into the early evening, presents a much better option.

Please look out for the new date soon. We’ll post it as soon as we have it!

Stay safe this weekend. If your air conditioning doesn’t work, seek shelter in a library, the mall or a movie theater. If we learn that the city will open its cooling centers, we’ll post that information on our website. Stay hydrated, and cover up if you have to be outside.

We look forward to seeing you NEXT month, on August 25th, when Music in the Park returns along with our annual artisan fair, Curtis Fest. See you soon! –Andi
