Holiday Gifts & Goods Welcomes Heather Klinger of Klinger Creative

Who sparked your love of making?

My Grandpa was an art teacher and always gave me art supplies for my birthdays and Christmas. I’ve always been a creative person, but I’m grateful for his support. I later took classes with him in drawing and ceramics right before he retired. I’m still inspired by him as he continues to make art.

What is your favorite product or piece you’ve made lately?

Tuxedo cat holiday cards. My holiday dogs cards are some of my best sellers and I’ve been wanting to make a fun kitty counterpart. It look a lot of sketches to get the illustration how I wanted it and I’m so thrilled with how the final card looks.

What inspires you during the holiday season?

I love the general atmosphere of the season. The lights, the cookies, the sweaters, the break from work, and more time to spend with friends and family and pets.

What other vendor are you excited to see/shop this season?

I love Ruby’s Handmade. She makes amazing soaps and lotions with milk from her adorable goats. Her products make great gifts and I can’t help getting stuff for myself as well.

What is your favorite holiday food or recipe and why?

My family has a long tradition of making and decorating sugar cookies for the holidays. It is my favorite tradition and I make dozens (if not hundreds!) of cookies every holiday season. They are best after they’ve been in the fridge overnight 🙂

Join us for a unique spin on craft fairs where you can craft some of your own holiday goodies. Make a commitment to the environment, your wallet, and creative diversity by purchasing handmade gifts from local entrepreneurs this season.

Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. on the South end of the Sierra 2 Center
