About Instructor Craig Townsend:
Craig has been practicing the Cheng Man Ching (CMC) 37 Movement short form for 30+ years. His instructors have been; Jim O’Callahan (student of Martin Inn & Bob Amacker) Brad Louie (student of Prof CMC & Ben Lo), Martin Inn (student of Ai Hsin Chueh, Ben Lo & Mr. Chu), Bob Amacker (student of CMC & Mr. Chu). I emphasise the internal qigong aspects of Tai Chi Chuan as well as the Civil and Martial.
In classes especially filled with seniors, he emphasizes and teaches the soft internal qigong (Chi Kung) qualities of movement helping students develop one’s center, balance, poise, silk reeling smoothness and internal energy (chi). His modified Grasp Sparrow’s Tail Form of 15 Postures includes the 13 Postures and is the heart of the Cheng Man Ching 37 Movement Form.
