Learn the rules of the road as a cyclist, how to avoid a crash, and tips to best enjoy your ride!
This entertaining presentation is put on by the City of Sacramento’s Bicycling Program and serves as an introduction to, or a refresher for riding in the streets, applicable laws, traveling through intersections, avoiding crashes, and enjoying the ride. The target audience is adults. The class has been held for residents in our neighborhood. You need not have a bicycle or scooter to attend.

The class is in-classroom. You do not need a bicycle or scooter. In the class, you will learn:
- Bicycling/scooting and the law
- Bicycling/scooting on the street
- Traveling through intersections
- Avoiding crashes
- How to enjoy the ride
About the instructor
Jennifer Donlon Wyant is the City of Sacramento’s Transportation Planning Manager. Her section is involved with the mobility element of the City’s General Plan, corridor studies, and active transportation; the “Shared Mobility and “Vision Zero” programs; and 20 projects in various stages of planning, funding, and implementation.
