Paris may be famous for its café culture, but it has a long history of loving tea, and for tea connoisseurs the salons de the in France are famous.
Join the Novel Tea and The Learnery for a wonderful high tea event featuring French-inspired tea food, a presentation on the history of tea in France, and several unique teas.
A relaxing meal, a good cup of tea, and you have the makings of a perfect summer day in Paris! While there’s no bad time to visit, Paris is made for exploring in late summer. The weather is sunny, the city is in bloom and streets are quieter as Parisians escape the city and hit the beach for their yearly vacations for the month.
The act of drinking tea in France dates back to the 17th century and it was long associated with being a pastime of the aristocracy. When you get to spend the day eating, sipping tea and chatting, it makes for a wonderful way to lift the spirits and say au revoir to Summer!
You may choose to either join us for the in-person tea or, purchase to-go tea kits to share at home. The Novel Tea will contact you prior to the event to confirm seating and to-go instructions.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND MENU SUBSTITUTIONS
Tea menus are fixed, and always include two vegetarian sandwiches. Unfortunately, they are unable to substitute items, or offer gluten, dairy or egg-free options. Their food is prepared in a facility that uses wheat, nut, dairy, and eggs. If you have allergies, please note that on your registration, and they will annotate that event’s menu to indicate any items contain that ingredient.
However, The Novel Tea’s goal is to ensure every guest feels welcome and appreciated, so they will always provide to go boxes if you would like to take something you can’t eat home for someone else.
