St. Patrick’s Day High Tea – Kit Pick Up Event
March 13 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm$45
St. Patrick’s Day High Tea at the Sierra 2 Center is an annual tradition, and a worldwide pandemic isn’t going to stop us from having our 4th annual Irish-themed high tea!
Saturday, March 13th
Pick Up Time: 12:30- 1:30pm
Pick Up Location: Sierra 2 Center, Garden Room Courtyard
Treat yourself to a fancy at-home high tea experience this St. Patty’s Day! Artisanal tea company, The Novel Tea, will be filling individually-packed to-go kits, stuffed with Irish-inspired savory sandwiches and sweet bites, that pair nicely with two of their teas. This is the most popular high tea we host!
Kits are available for pick up at the Sierra 2 Center on Saturday, March 13th between 12:30-1:30pm. If you live in select zip codes (95816, 95817, 95818, 95819, 95825, 95864), you are eligible for kit delivery for an additional $7. See the menu below. Choose between the “regular” high tea kit and the vegetarian when ordering. A kit serves 1-2; you may want to order multiple kits for 2+ people.
With your purchase of a High Tea kit, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Sierra 2 Center to support our organization during this year-long closure.
Each kit includes food all the items you’d find at a traditional high tea, as well as two kinds of limited edition tea.
Vegetarian kits are available and will include two egg salad and radish sandwiches in the bottom tier.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND MENU SUBSTITUTIONS
Our tea menus are fixed, and always include vegetarian sandwiches. Unfortunately, we are unable to substitute items, or offer gluten, dairy or egg-free options. Our food is prepared in a facility that uses wheat, nut, dairy, and eggs. If you have allergies,
please note that in the comment box, and we will annotate the menu to indicate any items that contain that ingredient.
About The Novel Tea:
Ellen, Cid, and Emmy, owners of The Novel Tea, have been friends, family and professional colleagues for many years. Long ago best friends Ellen and Cid discovered that they both loved tea—both the drink in its infinite variations and the experience of connecting with others while having good conversations over a cup of tea. This is a passion Ellen and Cid passed on to their daughters, including Ellen’s daughter Emily who joined them when they opened The Novel Tea.
Ellen and Cid have over sixty years of teaching experience, and now instead of teaching communications or educational theory to college students, they plan to teach everyone in Sacramento how much better life can be with a book in one hand, a cup of tea in the other, and a friend by your side.
