Our four-week series will start with an overview and break down of flowers that have a five-petal structure such as wild roses and cherry blossoms and a few more! Working in pencil, you will learn to draw front and side views of these flowers and leaves. After pencil work, we will move onto pen and ink drawing techniques and adding detail and depth to our flowers with shading and line work. We’ll then design and create something sweet with our new flower drawing skills! A wreath, a simple border, or a cute corner motif…the possibilities are endless!
You will finish this class able to draw cute details for notes, illustrate your bullet journal or design your own cards!
Students will need to purchase/bring:
- 9” x 12” or 11”x14” mixed media paper pad or sketchbook (Canson brand is excellent)
- 2h mechanical pencil
- white or yellow gum eraser
- set of waterproof micron pens
Cate will provide a few additional supplies and guidance sheets!
