This class covers the basics of proper posture and form, as you ease into beginning mat Pilates exercises. This class is safe, low-impact and great for just about every fitness level! Pilates has been proven to strengthen the core, boost balance, and improve posture!
We’ve teamed up with Studio Laurus, a Curtis Park-based fitness studio, to host these classes at the Sierra 2 Center for the Senior Center participants.

Om is a BASI-certified Pilates instructor and a “multipotentialite” with an M.A. in Creative Writing and some neat skills in graphic design. She loves to incorporate her creativity into her teaching by creating fun and engaging exercise programs tailored to her students’ goals and liking. Her teaching style is a combination of flow, strengthening and therapeutic stretching with a good dose of humor. Her main goal is to provide a safe and inspiring space where students can explore their abilities and work through their limitations.
