Let’s Draw: Virtual Art Series
October 19, 2020 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Learn how to draw from the safety of your own home!
Mondays, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Zoom
Fees: $15 / person
Advanced registration required; Registration closes day-of classes at 4pm.
We will email you a Zoom meeting link & password the day before the class. Currently, online registration is the only way to join our classes. We use Constant Contact and PayPal to process online registrations, though you do not need a PayPal account, just a credit card.
Join local artist & instructor Cara Gregor as she teaches you a bit about drawing on Monday evenings over Zoom. Each class is focused on a theme, with step-by-step instructions for how to draw specific subjects and how to use color to bring them to life!
These drawing skills and practice strengthen your hand-eye coordination and change the way you see the world (new color, shapes, and textures, oh my!)
Spend time with us learning new skills and enjoying the stress-melting benefits of creative therapy and art-making. At the very least, you can leave the problems of the world behind for an hour or so while you have a little fun!
To register, please click on the graphic associated with the class of your choosing.
- Drawing paper (mixed media paper, cardstock or even computer paper is fine!)
- Pencil & Eraser
- Black Fine Tip Pen (recommended: Pigma Micron 01, 03, and/or 05) or Sharpies in fine and ultra-fine point
Optional Coloring Supplies Can Include:
- Prismacolor pens
- Colored pencils
- Or even markers & crayons — whatever you have on hand!
You may be able to find these supplies on Amazon, Blick, or Michaels (Michaels is currently doing store pick up only where they put your purchases in your trunk for you.)
Love for Cara’s Virtual Drawing Classes
“I liked how she broke it down into simple steps and details like the picture only had 3 colors, but the way she used them gave her flat image so much dimension. She made it feel like anyone can draw, you don’t have to have some amazing ability to do it.” – Online Drawing Student
We hope you add a little color to your days indoors with a Cara Gregor art class!
About the Instructor:
Cara Gregor is the artist behind Cara Emilia specializing in painting, illustration, and handmade jewelry. Cara is a self-taught, intuitive, artist living in Sacramento, California with her husband, Benjamin, and her little dog, Jacques Cousteau. Her work is inspired by bright colors (sometimes neon… most of the time at least a little pop of neon), bold, organic composition, nature, yoga, and adventures exploring this amazing planet. She aims to bring joy to others with her intuitive process, hoping to make this world just a bit brighter, a bit lighter, and much more fun.
You can enjoy Cara’s work on her website www.caraemilia.com or follow her on instagram @caraemiliadesigns
