Introduction to Drawing is a series of monthly workshops that present the basics of drawing, composition and color. Designed for those ages 16 and up, the class is ideal for beginners or those wishing to refresh their drawing skills. Each class has a specific art subject with step-by-step instructions.
At our August workshop, we’ll practice color blending by creating a sunflower. The sunflower symbolizes loyalty because of they are devoted to the sun and turn their heads in devotion. The sunflower is also associated with the desire to seek light and truth. When our sunflower picture completed, it can be framed and hung or given as a one-of-a-kind gift.
This informal, educational workshop is a great way to develop your confidence an drawing skills, and to meet others with similar interests in a welcoming environment. Local artist and teacher, Marie Taylor, is the instructor for Introduction to Drawing.
