An event every month that begins at 12:30 pm on day Third of the month, repeating indefinitely
Head Space focuses on mental health wellness and well-being, and introduces lifestyle changes aimed at improving one’s mood.
12:30 – 2:00 p.m. in Room 12
Fees: see below
This monthly class offers a place for older adults to come together and discuss their own mental health struggles or concerns, ask questions, and hear from others who may have experienced the same things. Each session of Head Space is individually designed and consists of pertinent information relating topics to their influence on mental health. The program aims to remove the stigma attached to mental health issues through open dialogue among peers. This is designed as a twelve-part series, so attendance is encouraged for all sessions, but not required.
Instructor Kate is our former Sacramento State intern-turned-graduate of the Gerontology program, who designed Head Space as part of her capstone graduation project.
