Two consecutive classes will be held on May 5 and 19 to study the components of the face (head, eyes, nose, mouth, hair, etc.) in preparation for drawing complete portraits. Both classes must be taken. Marie Taylor’s “Sketching the Head” class or prior drawing experience is strongly recommended.
This informal, educational class is a great way to develop your artistic confidence and to meet others with similar interests in a welcoming environment. Local artist and teacher, Marie Taylor, is the instructor for Introduction to Drawing.
REQUIRED SUPPLIES: Students should bring an HB pencil, 2 H pencil, 4B pencil, eraser, 12” plastic T-square ruler, .01 black Micron pen (or similar), blending stump, 80lb Strathmore drawing paper or drawing book, and clipboard (optional).
