After a fun warm-up, you’ll learn beautiful brush lettering. It will find its place on many projects: cards, quotes, journaling and scrapbooking.
You’ll learn lots of creative ideas in the class. Join us for a lighthearted afternoon! All supplies included in your fall lettering kit! All levels welcome.
About the Instructor:
Phawnda Moore has led calligraphy and design classes in art groups, community education and museums for over 20 years. She has an academic background in design (UC Davis ’92), earned a California state teaching credential, and studies with the world’s best lettering artists.
“My classes are for all levels, are interactive and fun. Most often we explore techniques for making cards, journals, and gifts. There’s a wonderful, creative energy in hands-on learning. It enhances our spirits and gives us skills to travel with on our own art journey, where we discover who we are.”
Phawnda brings experience from an award-winning career in communication, graphic design, and writing. She was the editor/designer for California county and state offices of education, where her style guide for the 112 California community colleges received a Clarion Award in 2011. A Sacramento native, Phawnda lives in Rocklin with her husband and collects succulents, shoes, and shells. She’s a lifelong learner who loves new places and cultures, cooking, and being outdoors.
