All materials are provided. You’ll leave with a gorgeous finished painting.
Why we love acrylic paints:
Acrylics are versatile paints that dry quickly, making them very easy to use. Once dried, this paint adheres to the canvas or paper, allowing you to layer more paint on top for fun effects. These paints can be quite affordable, with quality ranging from student to artist-grade.
About the Instructor:
Originally from the Bay Area, Lizzy Mailho is currently living in Sacramento, California, working as an artist and instructing painting classes. Graduating from Chico State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, she studied many art forms but had an emphasis in painting and drawing.
She is constantly evolving her style and technique, whether she is painting a traditional portrait or illustration. Her work is inspired by childhood memories of stories, fairy tales, and folklore, all being seen through adult eyes. The results can be humorous and slightly dark, but always whimsical and feminine. Paintings or illustrations often depict ethereal beings living in made up locations, that leave some sort of mystery to the viewer.
