Paint with local artist & instructor Cara Gregor as she demonstrates the step-by-step process to creating this bold, graphic, autumn-inspired floral painting. You’ll learn how to mark out your canvas to create a visually-appealing composition; get tips for striking color combinations; and instruction on creating fun flowers!
This class is great for beginner & intermediate painters and anyone aged 12+.
Spend time with us learning new skills and enjoying the stress-melting benefits of creative therapy and art-making. At the very least, you can leave the problems of the world behind for an hour or two while you have a little fun!
- Canvas, sized 16×20 or any desired size
- Starter Acrylic Brushes
- Acrylic Paint (see below)
- Cup of water
- Rag or paper towels
- Plastic palette (or paper plates, old plastic lid/tray)
On paint: Cara recommends buying Liquitex Basics acrylic paint. It’s a medium-quality paint that’s pretty affordable and great for beginners. They sell starter kits that have your basic paint colors. For this project, it’s recommended that you pick up the 24 pack of colors for maximum choice and flexibility in class.
The Liquitex Basics 24 Tube Set sells for about $35 and can be found at Blick, Michaels, and Amazon.
Love for Cara’s Virtual Drawing Classes
“I liked how she broke it down into simple steps and details like the picture only had 3 colors, but the way she used them gave her flat image so much dimension. She made it feel like anyone can draw, you don’t have to have some amazing ability to do it.” – Online Drawing Student
We hope you add a little color to your indoor days with a Cara Gregor art class!
