Seniors write and read their lives

If you missed the recent theater production, "Reading Our Lives," by the Senior Center's Life History Writing Class last month, you're still in luck as the stories are in book form. "Stories of Our Lives" is available for $5 at both the SCNA front office and the Senior Center. The cover photo is by class member, John Davis.

The readings were well received for a first-time event with nearly 100 people in attendance. Guests commented on the professional look of the stage, lobby exhibit, and programs, and the job well done by the reading seniors. Applause for all the participants was generous and encouraging. The class made a special gift presentation of rose bushes and musical theater tickets to Joe and Bubbles Miguel for their years of facilitating the class.

The Senior Center raised over $400 from the event. Due to the success, this may become an annual undertaking. Join the class held on Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. and get a head start on being one of next year's presenters.
