September 17: Computers Inside & Out
Participants will learn the inner workings and components of computers by putting together a PC computer
October 15: Internet & Email
A hands-on look at web browsers, internet connection types, safe surfing, search engines, and email. Laptops will be provided.
November 19: Security
Learn about anti-spyware and anti-virus software, firewalls, and the Windows Security essentials and updates.
January 28: Microsoft Word
Hands-on exploration of the popular Microsoft Word program and all of its features. Laptops provided.
February 25: iPhones & iPads
Bring your iPhone and iPad device to class to learn about settings, apps, uses and more!
March 18: Technology Doodads
We will explore the latest devices and gadgets that make your life easier.
April 15: Digital Photos
Get an overview of how to make easy Shutterfly photobooks, plus photo storage and organization.
Laptops will be provided, so come learn a new computer skill, or buff up on existing knowledge of the program.
Instructor Bill Prevost has an AS degree in Computer Science from Saddleback College, Mission Viejo. Bill currently works for A Leap Ahead IT, providing end-user services for customers, including help desk and technical services. He works with staff to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation.
