Senior Center Announcements
June is “ICE” month at the Senior Center
The Senior Center is launching a campaign asking seniors to carry “In Case of Emergency” (ICE) information cards and to program their cell phones with “ICE” numbers and information. In case of a fall, stroke or event which leaves you unconscious – who should be called? Where do you want to be taken? Yes, it could happen to you – so be prepared in case it does. Do yourself, your family and your friends a favor, make sure the people around you know what to do – and who to inform. Take care of yourself by planning for all the challenges thrown at you in life.
Interested in line dancing?
The senior center is soliciting line dancers for a class to start in July. We have two potential instructors, and two potential times, for classes. Call to sign up for either Monday at 10 a.m. or Thursday at 10 a.m. – or both! The time and day with the most interested sign-ups will be offered in July. So please call to vote on your preference and get those feet dancing!
Jewelry donations
The senior center is collecting jewelry for the yearly holiday sale. Time to lighten up and release those pieces you no longer wear! Donations of jewelry are always accepted.
Flower pot donations
The senior center needs those flower pots that are cluttering your garage and yard! We always accept donations of unwanted pots for our yearly plant sale.
