If you live within the SCNA boundaries, there are a number of ongoing volunteer opportunities you can enjoy.
Board members are made up of neighborhood volunteers. There are wide arrays of activities that you can participate in as a Board member. You can help with fundraising events such as the annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction or Home Tour, write articles for the Viewpoint and participate in Advocacy work on behalf of the neighborhood. The Viewpoint is the free neighborhood newspaper of the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association, published since 1979. Our 10 monthly issues each year are written and delivered by neighborhood residents. If you would like to become a volunteer Viewpoint distributor, please call Gerre at 451-9610.
The SCNA boundaries: Highway 99 on the east; Interstate 80 on the north; Freeport Boulevard south of Fourth Avenue/the Union Pacific railroad tracks north of Fourth Avenue on the west; Sutterville Road on the south.
